Seeds of the scholar
A Godstone Saga Novella
When Hegaze Galwell, a brilliant but unconventional scholar of the House of Knowledge, sets out to capture a herdvaar-shee—a creature feared for its brutal bloodlust and grotesque form—he knows the risks.
Meanwhile, Elion Sunavei, a seasoned teacher at the House, prepares for the arrival of this monstrous captive. Between his lectures on deontology and his steady guidance of students, Elion suspects little of the true danger lurking just out of sight. But as the House braces for the creature’s arrival, a fractured truth begins to emerge—one that binds Hegaze and Elion in ways they could never have foreseen.
Seeds of the Scholar reveals a world where primal horrors and human ambition intertwine. Fans of dark fantasy, horror, and mysteries will be enthralled by this chilling tale of knowledge, power, and the terrifying secrets that lie within.
About the author
My passion for fantasy was ignited in fourth grade by countless hours spent on games like Age of Empires and RuneScape. By seventh grade, I was deeply immersed in the worlds created by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Christopher Paolini, and by eighth grade, I was determined to become an author. Throughout my teens and into my twenties, even as I pursued a career in the IT industry, the dream of writing my own stories persisted. I wrote several exploratory pieces, but it wasn’t until I fully dedicated myself to writing that I completed my debut novel, Gloom. Inspired by works like Joe Abercrombie’s The First Law series, my book began as an exploration of grimdark themes but ultimately evolved into a narrative about enduring hope in the face of darkness.
Now living in Texas with my wonderful wife, our delightful daughter, and two mischievous cats, I balance family life with my passions for gaming, reading, and writing. With over 100 positive reviews on Amazon, Gloom has been well-received, which encourages me to continue publishing. I look forward to exploring more worlds and stories and sharing those with my readers.
